PayPal, Ioengine Settle Seven-Year Patent Fight in Delaware

PayPal Holdings Inc. and IoEngine LLC agreed to end their long-running patent dispute over portable data-storage technology used for secure online transactions, according to an order pausing a federal lawsuit in Delaware while they finalize settlement terms.

Circuit Judge William C. Bryson halted all deadlines through Oct. 2 to allow the parties time to prepare dismissal papers, according to a stipulation and order issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
