Samsung, BOE Settle OLED Technology Patent, Trade Secret Dispute

A Samsung Electronics Co. unit and BOE Technology Group Co. reached a settlement to end their sprawling trade secret and patent infringement disputes over OLED technology.

Samsung Display Co. and BOE requested dismissals this week in three cases in Texas federal court and also filed a sealed joint motion to stay in the US International Trade Commission. The companies reached a confidential settlement agreement resolving litigation, according to a Wednesday notice filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Samsung and BOE didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
