Samsung Dodges Injunction Bid in $445 Million Patent Dispute

A patent owner failed to convince a Texas federal judge to block sales of Samsung Electronics Co.’s infringing products in a $445 million smartphone technology dispute.

Collision Communications Inc. didn’t meet each of the factors to support a permanent injunction against Samsung, Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas held in a decision filed Monday.
