SAP SE announced deals with OpenAI and Amazon Web Services to expand its “digital sovereignty” offerings to European governments.
The German enterprise software company will work with OpenAI to bring the artificial intelligence company’s services, including ChatGPT, to Germany’s public sector, the companies said in a statement on Wednesday. The effort, called “OpenAI for Germany,” will offer services via SAP’s Delos Cloud, which stores data locally and in compliance with European laws.
SAP and Amazon.com Inc. also said in a separate statement that the German company will provide its sovereign cloud offering through AWS.
