A New York judge recommended dismissal of a former Fabiani Cohen & Hall partner’s lawsuit accusing the firm of racial bias, sex discrimination, and harassment.
Anita Bowen failed to sufficiently plead disparate pay or discrimination allegations against the firm and its three principals—Stephen Cohen, John Fabiani, and Thomas Hal—Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave said in a report and recommendation docketed Wednesday. Despite its finding the court said it “does not condone the distasteful comments that Cohen and Hall used to refer to colleagues in a professional setting, or Fabiani’s complicity in allowing such behavior.”
