AutoZone, Employee Reach Deal in Medical Leave Retaliation Suit

AutoZoners LLC settled with an employee to end claims that he was retaliated against for taking protected medical leave.

The case was dismissed Wednesday after the parties notified the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts of settlement Nov. 10. Michael Persichini was in his 60s while working as a district manager at one of AutoZone’s “mega hubs,” which deliver products to its retail stores. The hub wasn’t operating well under Persichini’s management in March 2021 when he reported alleged age discrimination by his manager.
