A Wisconsin ban on conversion therapy is unconstitutional because it forces counselors to choose between violating their religious beliefs or risking their professional licenses, alleges a lawsuit filed Tuesday.
Christian counselors Terri Koschnick and Joy Buchman said the law violates their First and 14th Amendment rights in their complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Governor Tony Evers (D) refused to repeal the law on May 5.
