Consumer Attorneys Battle Uber Over Sexual Assaults Ad Campaign

Uber Technologies Inc. is attempting to improperly silence and investigate an ad campaign by the Consumer Attorneys of California about rampant sexual assaults by Uber drivers, the group said in court documents.

The plaintiff’s side attorney organization asked a San Francisco federal judge Monday to deny Uber’s request for an injunction that would block the organization’s “Every 8 Minutes” ad campaign weeks ahead of the first federal bellwether trial involving a woman who claimed she was raped by her Uber driver in Arizona.
