Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC won a court order blocking certain former employees, who were allegedly poached by a competitor, from soliciting clients covered by a restrictive covenant in their employment contracts.
Marsh established that a preliminary injunction barring Alliant Insurance Services Inc. and two of its employees from soliciting and accepting clients covered by the agreements—which are likely partially enforceable—is warranted, Judge Ronnie Abrams of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said in a Monday order.
