Ex-USAID Workers Sue Trump Officials, Agencies for Age Bias

Ex-foreign service workers aged 40 and above are suing the government for targeting them in a March 2025 reduction-in-force because of their age.

The US Agency for International Development, the US Department of State, Secretary Marco Rubio, and others didn’t individually assess the plaintiffs’ performance, length of service, retirement benefits, or establish a valid need for a RIF before carrying it out, an age discrimination complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia Wednesday said.
