General Motors Files Trade Complaint Against Vehicle Part Makers

General Motors told a federal agency that several manufacturers and vehicle parts suppliers violated trade laws by infringing its patents with competing products.

The US International Trade Commission issued a notice Tuesday stating it received GM’s complaint. GM alleged LKQ Corp., CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc., Mitchell International Inc., and Jiangsu Srumto Auto Parts Co., along with other suppliers, infringed 20 patents protecting car parts. GM seeks an order preventing the manufacturers and suppliers from importing the accused products.
