A Massachusetts federal judge plans to stay the Trump administration’s pause of some Biden-era humanitarian parole programs, she said at a second hearing on the matter Thursday.
Pending a final review of the materials, Judge Indira Talwani said she will “issue an order staying the revocation of the rule” that announced the pause of the program, which she said she thinks was based on “an incorrect understanding of the law.”
The stay would be an initial victory for immigrant plaintiffs who are asking her to stop the government from pausing the programs, which provided a mechanism for immigrants from countries ...
