Justices on Massachusetts’s high court expressed skepticism of arguments backing the denial of a teen’s request to shield her medical records from the public in a malpractice suit.
In oral arguments Friday, the Supreme Judicial Court justices echoed aspects of a dissent in a 2024 appeals court ruling rejecting Quinteasha Dossantos’ bid to keep the information private in her lawsuit against Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton and health care providers she claims failed to diagnose her for appendicitis.
