Memory Patent Asserted Against Samsung Is Invalid, Judge Says

G+ Communications LLC failed to convince a Texas federal judge to reverse his ruling that a disputed claim for a memory patent asserted against Samsung Electronics Co. is invalid.

There was enough evidence presented during the January 2024 trial to conclude a claim of US Patent No. 10,594,443 was invalid, according to a memorandum opinion and order filed March 14 rejecting G+ Communications motion for judgment a a matter of law.

Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap said Samsung’s evidence, including its expert’s testimony explaining prior art references, was sufficient for finding the patent claim invalid.
