No Donor Data Dooms $500 Million Red Cross Haiti Relief Suit

A lawsuit seeking more than half a billion dollars from the Red Cross over alleged Haiti earthquake relief fraud has disassembled because the plaintiffs failed to they donated at all.

An alleged group of donors and residents claimed that cash donated to the international charity lined the pockets of local grifters instead of benefiting Haiti after a 2010 earthquake killed at least 300,000 people. US District Court for the Southern District of Florida Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga dismissed the complaint for a third time Thursday, this time without leave to amend.
