NXP American Unit, Redwood Drop Wi-Fi Patent Disputes in Texas

NXP USA Inc. and Redwood Technologies LLC resolved two disputes concerning Wi-Fi technology inside microcontrollers and automotive chipsets.

Judge Alan Albright dismissed the two cases involving a total of 15 patents, according to orders filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. NXP and Redwood asked a day earlier for the court to dismiss Redwood’s allegations with prejudice and NXP’s defenses without prejudice.
