Zhang Medical PC failed to convince a New York federal judge Friday to rule in its favor in a couple’s embryo sex-selection lawsuit that they brought after a sonogram showed the couple’s child was male when they sought to have a baby girl.
Judge Margaret M. Garnett of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York denied the clinic’s motion for summary judgment on the couple’s medical malpractice, informed consent, fraud, and deceptive business practices claims, allowing them to proceed to trial.
