An Oregon law prohibiting the import and export of cannabis products discriminates against interstate commerce and violates the US Constitution, according to a lawsuit brought by a marijuana wholesaler.
The state’s restrictions prohibiting interstate commerce are “stifling Oregon’s marijuana producers and industry participants” by preventing them from accessing the “enormous out-of-state demand” for Oregon-based products, Jefferson Packing House LLC alleged in a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Oregon.
