Satanic Temple Denied Chance to Amend Idaho Abortion Ban Suit

The Satanic Temple won’t be given another opportunity to amend its suit challenging Idaho’s near-total abortion ban.

The temple’s “efforts to shoehorn its disagreements with Idaho’s abortion statutes into constitutional claims rang of the classic phrase ‘trying to fit a square peg in a round hole,’” Judge David C. Nye of the US District Court for the District of Idaho said in a Monday order. “It simply does not work,” the judge added.

Nye reaffirmed his earlier dismissal with prejudice after the Ninth Circuit upheld that ruling in August.
