Texas Business Courts Adding Cases, Not Judges, in Approved Bill

Texas lawmakers took steps to direct more cases to its nine-month-old business courts system, but opted not to expand to any new cities or bolster its busiest venues with more judges.

The move is the result of the Texas Senate taking a House proposal to supercharge the courts and watering it down in the final days of the Legislative session. The two chambers reached a compromise Sunday, and on Monday are expected to send Gov.
