Alphawave Extends Deadline for Qualcomm Bid as Talks Continue

Alphawave IP Group Plc said it has extended the deadline for Qualcomm Inc. to make a firm bid for the London-listed semiconductor company until May 12 to give the companies more time to discuss terms of a potential deal.

The deadline for Qualcomm to decide whether to bid or walk away from the talks had been due to expire at 5 p.m. London time on Tuesday. There’s no certainty that a formal offer will be made, Alphawave said in a statement.
