Citi’s Hong Kong Investment Banking Head Ngai Is Said to Leave

Citigroup Inc.’s head of investment banking in Hong Kong, Ben Ngai, is leaving the US lender, according to people familiar with the matter.

Alex Schrantz, head of corporate finance for Asia at Citi, will become interim head of Hong Kong investment banking, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing private information.

A representative for Citi said the bank remains committed to Hong Kong investment banking and will continue to add key talent to support clients, while declining to comment on Ngai’s departure.
