Generali Hires Bank of America to Review Options for Irish Unit

Assicurazioni Generali SpA has hired Bank of America Corp. to review strategic options for its Irish unit, part of a broader rationalization of businesses following recent acquisitions.

A disposal of the insurer’s RedClick unit is one of several options under review, people familiar with the matter said. The business, which Generali inherited through its acquisition of Liberty Seguros, specializes in online operations and has previously attracted interest from potential buyers, the people said, asking not to be identified as the process is private.

Representatives for Generali and Bank of America declined to comment.
