UK, Turkey Sign Eurofighter Deal After Germany Gives Nod (1)

The UK signed a preliminary agreement on the sale of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Turkey, a multibillion-dollar defense deal long held up by political tensions between Ankara and its NATO allies.

The two countries “share a mutual ambition to conclude the necessary arrangements as soon as possible,” according to a statement on Wednesday from Turkey’s Defense Ministry, which announced the memorandum of understanding in Istanbul.
