Honeywell Said to Weigh Abandoning Johnson Matthey Catalyst Deal

Honeywell International Inc.is considering walking away from its acquisition of Johnson Matthey Plc’s Catalyst Technologies business, people familiar with the matter said.

The industrials conglomerate is weighing the move because of concerns over regulatory approvals and business milestones, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information.

Honeywell could make a final decision in the coming days, according to the people. Deliberations are ongoing and the companies may still opt to wait longer to try and close the deal, they said.
