James Murdoch Offers $300 Million for NY Magazine, Podcasts (1)

James Murdoch is in advanced talks to acquire New York magazine and a number of podcasts from Vox Media, according to people familiar with the discussions.

His offer was approximately $300 million, one of the people said. There’s no deal in place yet and the assets could sell for much more, another person said.

The youngest son of Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch cashed out the last of his share of the family’s interest in News Corp. and Fox Corp. last year in an agreement with his father and siblings.
