Spirit Seeks to Hold 20 Aircraft Auction With $533 Million Bid

Spirit Airlines asked a New York bankruptcy judge to approve a deal it reached with an aviation asset firm to set a $533.5 million auction floor price for 20 Airbus aircraft.

CSDS Asset Management LLC should be approved to serve as stalking horse bidder for a set of A320 and A321 aircraft with a $16 million break-up fee and up to $2.5 million in reimbursable expenses, Spirit Aviation Holdings Inc. said in a motion Wednesday with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
