NY Gov. Hochul Picks Former NYC Council Speaker for Running Mate

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday named Adrienne Adams as her lieutenant governor for the November ballot as she faces a Democratic primary challenge from her former running mate Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado.

Adams is the former speaker of the New York City Council, serving from 2022 to 2025, and was the first Black elected official to lead the council.
