NYC Man Arrested in NYPD Snowball Incident Has Charges Reduced

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has reduced the charges for a man who allegedly pelted New York Police Department officers with snowballs in Washington Square Park earlier this week.

Gusmane Coulibaly was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly contact. After reviewing the evidence, the charges were adjusted, Victoria Notaro an assistant district attorney said.

Coulibaly is now charged with one misdemeanor and a violation related to the incident including the obstruction item as well as harassment in the second degree, according to court records. The office is continuing to investigate and has ...
