Government agencies will prioritize addiction treatment and going after drug traffickers under the White House’s 2022 drug control plan, released Thursday amid some of the nation’s highest overdose death numbers yet reported.
Harm reduction for those struggling with addiction will get its first-ever nod in this year’s annual National Drug Control Strategy, the administration said in a fact sheet outlining the plan.
