The US Chamber of Commerce and several business groups moved to block California’s emissions reporting law in federal court.
The groups argued they are likely to succeed on the claim that the first-in-the-nation law requiring companies to report yearly emissions and climate-related risks violate their “freedom to remain silent,” according to a motion for preliminary injunction filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
