Dollar Financial Group Inc. failed to protect the personal information of thousands of customers that was exposed in a November data breach, a proposed federal class action said.
Lead plaintiff Jason Porter alleged that Dollar Financial breached its duties under common law, contract law, industry standards, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the Federal Trade Commission Act to implement reasonable and adequate data-security measures.
