Bezos Family Anchors Robin Hood Endowment With $100 Million Gift

The Robin Hood Foundation said it’s well on its way to reaching its $1 billion goal for a permanent endowment, with a $100 million anchor gift from the Bezos family.

The money will help sustain the organization’s support of New Yorkers living below the poverty line, with annual fundraising expected to continue — as it did Monday night at the group’s benefit, to the tune of about $73 million.

The Wall Street-focused poverty-fighting group said it already has achieved 70% of its endowment goal, backed by additional contributions from individuals including Robin Hood co-founder Paul Tudor Jones, Citadel’s Ken ...
