KKR & Co. agreed to acquire Samhwa Co. from TPG Inc., valuing the South Korean cosmetics packaging firm at 733 billion won ($528 million) — marking the latest private equity bet on the country’s booming beauty industry.

The deal gives KKR full ownership of Samhwa, which produces high-end packaging for more than 300 beauty brands, including global luxury names and independent Korean players.
