Court Delays Release of Chemical Information from Arkema, Others

A federal district court has given the EPA more time to release chemical documents so parties in two lawsuits can work to resolve Arkema Inc.'s concerns about the potential release of its confidential business information.

The US District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday gave the Environmental Protection Agency until May 22 to release to environmental groups dozens of unredacted corporate requests to make new chemicals. The order marked a two-month delay in the original March 23 deadline the court set.
