Paramount Global Gets Deal to Exit Baltimore Landfill Lawsuit

Paramount Global, formerly known as ViacomCBS Inc., settled with Exxon Mobil Corp. and several other groups in a lawsuit seeking cleanup costs for a Baltimore Superfund site.

Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher granted plaintiff Browning-Ferris Inc.'s motion to dismiss Paramount from the suit with prejudice, according to an Oct. 3 filing. Additional plaintiffs include Cleveland Cliffs Steel Corp., Black & Deck Inc., Brunswick Corp., and others. Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
