USAA Gets Driver Class Over Insurance Coverage Nixed

United Services Automobile Association won’t have to face a certified class of drivers who allege the insurer withheld vehicle loss of use damages after accidents, a Washington appeals court said Dec. 11.

The lead plaintiff signed a release of liability agreement with the company, making her claims atypical of the rest of the class, Judge Rich Melnick wrote for the Washington Court of Appeals, Division Two in an unpublished ruling.
