Vape Product Maker Sued by Insurer Over Gummies Litigation

Fresh Farms E-Liquid LLC was hit with a lawsuit from its insurer over coverage for litigation brought by a consumer who alleged she suffered a psychotic breakdown after ingesting gummies the company manufactured and distributed.

Various exclusions in insurance policies sold to Fresh Farms preclude coverage for the underlying case, Kinsale Insurance Co. said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.

The consumer in the underlying litigation, referred to as Jane Doe, said she experienced acute psychotic episodes after ingesting Fresh Farms’ “Half Bak’d Primo Tropical Twist THCP” gummies in August ...
