Trump Downplays Hantavirus Concern, Says ‘Not Easy to Spread’

US President Donald Trump said he is satisfied with the government’s response to the recent hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship, stating that the virus is “not easy to spread.”

Speaking to reporters Monday at the White House, Trump said the US was in “very good shape” with the virus that spread on the Hondius ship, leaving three people dead. The medical emergency has required a multi-country response to evacuate passengers from the Dutch-flagged vessel.
