NYSE Owner Sees Half of Clients Interested in Prediction Markets

More than half of Intercontinental Exchange Inc.’s institutional clients are interested in accessing prediction-market data that it gets from a new partnership with Polymarket, according to Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Sprecher.

The exchange operator’s 10,000 customers, who bet on traditional commodities such as oil, gas and cocoa, are now paying attention to prediction markets to determine how they impacts existing and future financial positions, Sprecher said at a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. financial services conference on Tuesday.
