Akin Boosts Private Credit Practice With DLA Piper’s Borthwick

Heather Waters Borthwick joined Akin as a partner in its capital solutions team in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.

Borthwick’s practice focuses on direct lending and other transactions on the private credit spectrum. She advises leading credit funds and other asset managers on a wide range of financing transactions, including direct lending and cross-border private credit transactions, acquisition financings, refinancings, recapitalizations and hybrid capital deals, the firm said.

She joins from DLA Piper.
