DC Gets Facebook User Data Deception Lawsuit Revived on Appeal

Facebook must again face a District of Columbia lawsuit accusing the social network of misleading users about their data privacy.

A trial court used the wrong evidence standard when assessing the consumer protection claims against the Meta Platforms Inc. unit, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals said in a ruling issued Thursday that revived the DC case.
