EPA Again Extends Leave for Employees Who Criticized Zeldin

The EPA on Wednesday again extended the administrative leave for some 140 agency employees who signed a letter critical of the agency’s political leadership.

The new extension leaves the staff members in limbo, unable to do any work for the Environmental Protection Agency but still getting paid. The employees’ administrative leave, which had been set to expire Aug. 1, now runs through Aug. 15, according to a letter sent by agency leadership to one of the affected workers that was reviewed by Bloomberg Law.
