Fund Manager Pleads Not Guilty to Defrauding Harvard Classmates

A former hedge fund manager pleaded not guilty to charges that he defrauded Harvard Business School classmates and other associates of more than $4 million.

Vladimir Artamonoventered his plea Thursday in Manhattan federal court, more than a month after he was indicted. The most serious fraud charge against Artamonov carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Artamonov, who is free on a $300,000 bond, appeared in court by videoconference from his home in Maryland.
