Goldman Trading Desk Launches Liquid IPO Basket as Listings Soar

Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s baskets group, part of the bank’s trading desk, is introducing a product called the Liquid IPO Index that will allow investors to track the performance of recent listings amid a flood of US companies going public.

The index includes a broad-based universe of US-listed companies that went public more than 30 calendar days earlier — with certain exceptions, like firms with trading restrictions. It would also filter stocks with a minimum of $5 million daily traded volume and at least a $750 million average market capitalization over the prior month.
