Penn State University must face claims by a female fencer that her coach sexually harassed her and that the university knew and failed to act, a federal court said.
The fencer sufficiently alleged that Penn State’s actions violated Title IX of the Education Amendments, the opinion by Judge Matthew W. Brann of the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said, denying the university’s motion to dismiss.
