Simpson Thacher Grows New York Tax Team With Partner Alec Jarvis

Alec Jarvis joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in its tax practice in New York, the firm announced Monday.

Jarvis advises clients on US and international tax matters, including public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, spin-offs, joint ventures and restructurings. He has also advised on equity and debt offerings and has counseled on the formation and operation of joint ventures and real estate investment trusts, the firm said.

He joins from Skadden.
