Trans Worker Settles Bias Case EEOC Dropped Against Ex-Employer

A transgender worker reached a deal to end a discrimination case that the EEOC filed against her former employer then dropped in response to a Trump executive order.

Natasha Figueroa and pig farming operation Sis-Bro Inc. settled the dispute following a mediation session, but they need more time to finalize the deal, according to a report the mediator filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Figueroa intervened in the case in June after the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission backed out.
