A constitutional challenge to Georgia’s election-reform laws couldn’t overcome a lack of standing, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday, declining to give the suit a second shot.
The Coalition for Good Governance and various individual plaintiffs failed to demonstrate an injury in fact, traceability, and redressability, which are required to challenge five provisions of Georgia’s Senate Bill 202, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said in an unpublished per curiam opinion, affirming the district court’s grant of summary judgment in favor of the state.
