Hegseth Activates Around 200 National Guard Troops in Oregon

About 200 Oregon Army National Guard soldiers were activated under the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, US Northern Command says in a statement.

• The soldiers are activated under federal command and control in a Title 10 status, the statement says
• Their mission is to support the protection of federal personnel and federal property in the Portland area, the statement adds
